From the Prez!
For those of you who were unable to attend last nights meeting, here are a few of the highlights:
The chicken wing / soup / coleslaw bar tasted fantastic. The food alone was worth the price of admission!
The 2013 cruise DVD will be sent out with the 2014 cruise flyer to all sponsors and last years attendees.
We have 26 currently signed up for the December 14th Christmas party. Don't miss out. Get your monies to Russ COLLAR by 11/15, and join in on the fun. Party reservation and 2014 dues forms are available on the website.
Pay your 2014 dues by 12/31/13 and save $5.00. Still only $15.00, the best bargain in town! New members are still $15.00, no matter what time of year they join.
There will be no regularly scheduled meeting in December.
Members John and Sally HEDGES donated $35.00 solely to be used for our community Christmas Charity. Thank you very much.
The membership decided to donate $1,035.00 to the Mechling - Shakely Veterans Center in Cowansville (Armstrong County) for Christmas. The facility is a non-profit organization and is in of additional funds. They need robes, blankets, money for utilities, etc. They help approximately 65 homeless vets at any given time, many of which are then able to return to society as productive members. A very good place for our Christmas money. I, for one, am proud of the actions the membership has taken. Maybe other organizations will follow our stellar example.
Rich ANDERSON has researched the purchase of new Keystone Kruiser jackets. Prices are $51.24 for a regular jacket ( the same type many members now have), and $75.00 for a Hondo style jacket. Both prices include your name and the club name embroidered on the front of the jacket. Contact Rich for additional information.
Last night was the election of line officers for the 2014 calender year. Your 2014 Officers are:
President - Randy KRUSE
Vice President and Webmaster - Bill JOHNSON
Secretary - Russ and Shirley COLLAR
Treasurer - Sherry MONTGOMERY
Thank you to ALL members for keeping our club running strong.
Hope to see you all at the Christmas Party, and until then, stay safe
