November 2015

Greetings to All!

The November meeting of the Keystone Kruisers Car Club was held on Thursday, November 5, 2015 at Cabin Green Golf Club. After a great meal, we got down to business. For those of you that were unable to attend, here is a brief synopsis of what was decided:

PRESIDENT'S REPORT:

  • Thanks to everybody for coming out tonight!
  • This will be the final formal meeting for 2015. We will resume monthly meetings on April 7, 2016.
  • The club received an anonymous donation of $1,000.00 to be used in our Christmas Giving Program. Last month, the members decided to give $1,500.00. With the $1,000.00 donation, we now have $2,500.00 to give. Thank you to our generous benefactor!!!
  • 2016 dues are now payable. The cost is $15.00 until November 30, 2015. Effective December 1, the renewal cost goes up to $20.00 per year.
  • New members are always $15.00 per year.

    VICE PRESIDENT'S REPORT:

  • There are no cruises to report on, as the season is just about over for the year.
  • The 2014 KK cruise video is almost complete and will be sent out as soon as possible.
  • We renewed our website domain for another year.

    SECRETARY'S REPORT:

  • So far, we have 25 paid members for 2016
  • There are 27 people who have signed up, and paid for, the Christmas Party.

    TREASURER'S REPORT:

  • We now have $4,080.36 in our account.

    NEW BUSINESS:

  • None

    OLD BUSINESS:

  • The Christmas Party shall be held on December 12, 2915 at Cabin Green. The party will be from 6:00 until 9:00PM. All reservations are due to Russ COLLAR no later than December 1, so an accurate headcount can be made. Don't be late! Send your check today!

  • After further discussion and a hand vote, it was decided by the members present that the club NOT pursue the possibility of have the Doo-Wop Shoppe perform at our 2016 cruise.

  • As decided at October's meeting, the club shall utilize the trophy bases donated by past member Gary CREEL at our 2016 cruise. Some type of notation indicating that this is the clubs 20th year shall be included on all trophies. The final decision on which trophies to present shall be tabled until April of 2016. Fortunately, due to great workers, there is a short turn-around time with JnJ Graphix.

  • It was decided by hand vote to donate the aforementioned $2,500.00 to the following organizations in the amounts specified:

    1. Meckling-Shakely Veterans Center - $1,000.00
    2. Orphans of the Storm Animal Shelter - 500.00
    3. Armstrong County Salvation Army - 500.00
    4. Armstrong County Sheriff's Department K-9 Unit - 500.00

    The monies shall be delivered on a yet undetermined date in early December. Correspondence shall be sent to notify all members of the date(s) and time(s) of the deliveries, should they wish to attend. Both the Leader Times and the Kittanning Paper shall be notified of the donations made to the Sheriff's Department and the Veterans Center.
  • The election of Officers for 2016 was held and the following persons were elected to serve the Club in the following capacities:

  • President - Randy KRUSE
  • Vice President - Bill JOHNSON
  • Secretary - Russ COLLAR
  • Treasurer - Sherry MONTGOMERY

    SICK AND INJURED:

  • None reported

    NEXT MEETING:

  • Thursday, April 7, 2016. Six to eat/seven to meet!

    I would like to personally thank Vice President Bill JOHNSON, Secretary Russ and Shirley COLLAR and Treasurer Sherry MONTGOMERY for all the invaluable help and efforts that they have given me over the past years. It is people of this caliber and dedication that make this club so strong. We are very lucky to have them as members.
