From the Prez!

December 2015

Seasons Greetings!

UPDATE:

As per previous correspondence, all Christmas Giving checks were delivered to the below mentioned recipient's.

All involved seemed to have a good time, and the benefactors were gracious and thankful. A stop at Giovanni's in Cowansville satisfied our hunger, (the chicken wings were great!) and we experienced the satisfaction of a job well done!

Thank you to the members that attended and especially to Vice President Johnson, who bought us coffee at Dizzy Lizzy's!

I, and the board, wish each and every one of you a safe and Happy Holiday Season. May God bestow his blessings upon you and keep you safe.

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year.

See you all on April 7, 2016!

Randy

Hello, Hello, Hello!!!

On Saturday, December 12, 2015, we had our annual Christmas Party to welcome in the Holiday Season. We had 43 members and friends in attendance and a good time was had by all. As usual, the food was great and the company was even better. Thank you for attending!

I have received the checks for our Christmas Giving Project. The recipients have been contacted. The checks shall be delivered!

As in the past, we shall present the gifts as a group. Most will be driving our grocery getters, but feel free to bring whatever you want!

Please note the following schedule:

ON FRIDAY, DECEMBER 18, 2015, WE SHALL MEET BEHIND THE McDONALD'S PARKING LOT IN THE FRANKLIN VILLAGE MALL AT 0930 HOURS. (That's 9:30 AM for you non-military types!)

The following is the scheduled times and travel paths that have been set up with the recipients:

0930 hours - Leave McDonald's

1000 hours - Orphans of the Storm. (548-4520) We will meet with Executive Director Beth GALBRAITH for the presentation of the check ($500.00)

1045 hours - Salvation Army. (543-6622) Meet with Lieutenant Amber IMOFF for presentation of the check. ($500.00)

1100 hours - Sheriff's Department. (543-3265) Meet with Sheriff William RUPERT for presentation of the check. ($500.00)

1215 hours - Mechling-Shakley Veterans Center. (545-9016) Meet with Director TALLIDAY or his representative for the presentation of the check. ($1,000.00)

In that Giovanni's Pizza on Route 268 is handy, and they have supported us in the past, we usually stop there for coffee, pizza, lunch, etc, so come hungry!

I hope that many of you can attend. In addition to having a good time, (and possibly getting your picture in the local newspaper) it is always nice to see members take an interest in the Annual Christmas Giving Program.

Hope to see you Friday morning! Get your coffee, McMuffin, or Big Breakfast early, as we are-a-leavin at 0930 sharp!

Until then, Stay Safe

Randy
