From the Prez!
Springtime Greetings to All Cruisers!
The April meeting of the Keystone Kruisers was held on April 2, 2015 at Cabin Green Golf Club. As usual, the dinner was superb, and the conversation and camaraderie were outstanding. For those of you that were unable to attend and participate, here is a brief recap of the goings on.
The President, Vice President and other members attended the Town Hall Meeting in East Brady on Saturday, 2/28/15. The event was designed to give area clubs an opportunity to speak on their various goings - on and upcoming events. Our cruise was noted and 200 of our cruise flyers were distributed. The sponsoring club, the Knight Cruisers Car Club, did a great job!
At our last meeting, there was discussion of becoming a member of the Armstrong County Tourist Bureau. A current copy of the Armstrong County Magazine, the Bureau's publication, was presented and viewed by the members present.
A photograph of our 2015 President's Choice Student Trophy was shown., It has been ordered from McMillan's Trophy's and we are awaiting its delivery.
It was noted to the membership that Tiffany MONTGOMERY,(daughter of Rob and Sherry) and Micheal ANDERSON (son of Rich and Cheryl) had both received accolades in their respective sporting endeavors.
Grabiak Chevrolet's (New Alexandria, PA) 7th Annual Performance Center show will be held on Saturday, 4/25/15, from 9:00AM until 2:00PM
Spring Carlisle is from Wednesday, 4/22 until Sunday, 4/26. Take your walking shoes!
Secretaries COLLAR reported that 91 sponsor letters were sent out, and 10 have already been returned with sponsor money included. Good Job!
Cooper's Pizza, located on Main Street in Worthington, is still seeking 8 X 10 photographs of cruise cars (no people, please) to display in their restaurant. Several members have already submitted photos that are prominently displayed.
Treasurer MONTGOMERY reported that we have $2,598.00 in the bank. Our insurance is due July 1, 2015.
Last year we made club "Business Cards" advertising our name, club location, and website. This supply is exhausted, as they are very popular to hand out at events to advertise our club and to pass out to prospective members. A motion was made to have 500 more cards made. Motion was seconded and passed by hand vote. Anyone desiring some cards, contact any Officer.
Please keep the following members in your prayers: Kathy VALASEK, Mary WOLFE and Patty BAKER are all "under the weather" and are, hopefully, on the road to recovery.
Be sure to attend next month's meeting, as we will be selecting our 2015 cruise T-shirt. Sign up lists for the shirts and cruise duties will be presented. Be sure to think of your favorite part of the cruise and sign up early! Many hands make the work light! (or something like that)
Cruise season will be starting soon. Don't be left out! Come to the meetings for the latest in cruise news and trends! Also, check out the website daily for cruises and the weather in your area.
Hope to see you at our next meeting, which will be held on Thursday, May 7, 2015, at Cabin Green. Six PM to eat, and the meeting starts at 7PM.
Until then, stay safe and get that car ready!
