From the President!

April 2018

KEYSTONE KRUISERS
22 YEARS STRONG...AND STILL GROWING!

Greetings All!

The April meeting of the Keystone Kruisers Car Club was held on Thursday, April 5, 2018 at Cabin Green Golf Club. There were 22 members in attendance. After a delicious dinner, we commenced the meeting. For those of you that were unable to attend, what follows is a recap of same.

PRESIDENT REPORT:

The President welcomed all to the meeting, and recapped any and all correspondence that had been received over the winter months. Highlights include:

  • Reported that "DJ Manny" has been contracted, at a cost of $225.00, as the disc jockey for the 2018 cruise.
  • Debby LLOYD won 2nd place at the World of Wheels show in Pittsburgh with her 1929 Ford Truck.
  • WWFVFD stated that the fire hall is confirmed for our cruise

    VICE PRESIDENT REPORT:

  • Any changes to the website (new cars, sold cars, red cars, blue cars, etc.) ( Thanks Dr Seuss!) should be reported to Bill JOHNSON for inclusion and or change(s) to the website
  • JnJ Graphix shall, at a cost yet to be determined, make the awards for the 2018 cruise.

    SECRETARY REPORT:

  • We currently have 41 members
  • Between 70-80 sponsor letters have been sent, and we already have 3 paid sponsors.
  • This year, the DVDs cost approximately $430.00 to send. The cost is expected to rise.
  • Five hundred 20-18 cruise flyers were sent to the World of Wheels show for distribution

    TREASURERS REPORT:

  • We currently have $2,617.87 in our account. This shall increase with sponsor monies.
  • Insurance has not yet been paid, as it is due July 1, 2018.

    NEW BUSINESS:

  • Burnt orange was voted on and chosen as the color for our 2018 cruise t-shirts
  • Sign up sheets for cruise duties and cruise T-shirt purchases were presented to the membership.
  • Terry JOHNS made a motion that the "Students Only" section of the cruise be reinstated, and an award be presented to the winner. We had attempted this a few years ago, but very poor turnout forced the members to discontinue the practice. Terry believes that another attempt should be taken to get the younger people to attend the cruise. He had heard of students that would be interested. A discussion was held regarding the motion and afterwards, a hand vote was taken. It was decided by the voting members to reinstate the "Students Only" Section. The President shall prepare and send correspondence to the schools advising them of same.

    OLD BUSINESS:

    None

    SICK AND INJURED:

  • Andrea FAHRINGER has been diagnosed with cancer.
  • Kathy VALASEK is facing upcoming surgery.

Please keep these members, and all club members, in your prayers.

    NEXT MEETING:

The next regularly scheduled meeting is on May 3, 2018. 6 to eat/7 to meet.

Until then, stay safe. If anyone has any questions, comments or concern, please feel free to contact me or any board member.
