KEYSTONE KRUISERS
22 YEARS STRONG...AND STILL GROWING!

Greetings All!

On Thursday, May 3, 2018, the monthly meeting of the Keystone Kruisers Car Club took place at the Cabin Green Golf Club. There were 26 members present. After a buffet style meal, we got down to the business at hand. For those of you that were unable to attend, what follows is a brief synopsis of the meeting.

President's Report:

  • We received 1000 Keystone Kruisers business cards from JnJ Graphix that we had ordered. The cost to the club was $25.42. The bill for same was given to the secretary for payment. If you would like some cards to pass out at cruises, please see the President.
  • It was decided by hand vote that the (previously voted on) burnt orange shirts shall be printed with blue writing.

    We were advised that the cost for the Cruise shirts shall be as follows:

  • S to XL - $6.50
  • XXL - $9.50
  • XXXL - $10.50

    Upon final count of shirts to be ordered, the order shall be submitted to the Village Idiot for printing. Payment shall be made to Rich Anderson when the shirt(s) are picked up. Anyone desiring to order a shirt(s), contact me or any Officer ASAP.

  • It was decided by hand vote to contact Kittanning Care Center and attempt to have a small cruise at their facility on Friday, 5/18/18. We hope that they can provide a large screen TV and we shall show DVDs of past cruises to the residents. Further details to follow.
  • Confirmed, via email, that DJ Manny had us contracted for our cruise.
  • Reported that Terry JOHNS cousin, Pamela Stewart, passed away unexpectedly. We send him and his family our deepest sympathies.
  • Start thinking about Chinese Auction baskets for the cruise auction.
  • We currently have $2,622.87 in assets, with monies yet to be deposited.
  • Our Club insurance is due July 1, 2018. The cost is $350.00, and shall be paid in a timely manner.

    Vice President's Report:

  • Discusses upcoming cruises in the area.
  • Delivered aforementioned Keystone Kruiser business cards to the President and membership.
  • Stated that JnJ Graphix shall make the trophies for the cruise.

    Secretary's Report:

  • We currently have 14 sponsors for the cruise. If any member know of a company or individual that may/will sponsor us, contact Russ Collar.
  • Any members that plan to attend the following cruises, please contact Russ for Cruise flyers that you can pass out:
    Pittsburgh Mills cruises (Wednesdays and Fridays)
    BASMA at Debbie Lees (5/10)
    Harrisville Family Traditions (5/16)
    Cadet (5/16)
    Emlenton (5/26)
    Unionville VFD (5/27)
    Grove City (6/3)
    Eau Claire (6/2)

    Assistant Secretary's Report:

  • We currently have 41 members.

    Treasurer's Report:

    Absent. Report given by the President.

    New Business:

  • Discussed the benefits of keeping the registration table/50-50 table by the entrance area.
  • It was decided by hand vote to eliminate the Furthest Distance Traveled trophy due to possible disputes.
  • It was decided that the trophies presented shall consist of:
    1. Oldest vehicle
    2. President's Choice (Student participant, or if none, victor as chosen by the President.)
    3. Keystone Kruisers Trophy
  • It was also decided to park student participants' vehicles in the general parking areas instead of a designated area. Karen Claypoole graciously volunteered to make high visibility signage to identify student participants' vehicles. Thank you, Karen!

    Old Business:

  • As above, for cruise discussions.

    Sick and Injured:

  • Terry JOHNS cousin, Pamela Stewart, passed away unexpectedly. We send him and his family our deepest sympathies.
  • Great news! No other members are reported to be sick or injured.

    Next Meeting:

  • The next meeting hall be held on Thursday, June 7, 2018 at the Cabin Green Golf Club. As always,(come on, sing along, you know the words,) 6 to eat / 7 to meet!
