From the Prez!
20 YEARS STRONG...AND STILL GROWING!
Greetings to all Cruisers!
The September meeting of the Keystone Kruisers car club was held on Thursday, September 1, 2016 at the Cabin Green Golf Club. After a great buffet-style meal (the stuffed peppers were great), we got down to business. For those of you that were unable to attend, her is a brief recap of same:
We received two trophies from JnJ Graphix for the "Oldest Car" award from our cruise. As you may remember, there were 3 cars that tied for the honor. These trophies shall be sent or hand delivered by Treasurer MONTGOMERY. I thank her for her extra efforts.
We received two boxes of Keystone Kruisers business cards. If you need some, see me.
It is with deep sorrow that I report that long time friend and fellow cruiser, Ernie LUKE, had a fire in his garage that destroyed, among other things, his pristine 1962 Chevrolet Impala. We thank the good Lord that Ernie and his family were uninjured.
Reported on upcoming cruises in our area. Remember that the Ford City Labor Day Cruise and parade will be held this Sunday, September 4, 2016. See our website for details on this and other upcoming cruises.
Nothing to report
We currently have $3,862.24 in our account.
SAVE THE DATE! Our club Christmas Party shall be held on Saturday, December 10, 2016 at the Cabin Green Golf Club. Time and menu to be determined at October's meeting.
Start thinking about our Christmas Giving project. Last year we gave $2,500.00 to local organizations. We shall discuss it at October's meeting, and vote in November.
October is the month for discussion and nomination of Club Officers. Start thinking about who you want to lead the Club next year. The votes shall be cast at November's meeting.
The club picnic shall be held at the Collar estate on Saturday, September 17, 2016. The feed bags will be strapped on at 5:00PM, but feel free to come as early as 3:00PM to help in the set up. The club shall provide fried chicken, table settings, soft drinks, etc. Come early and stay late! The annual picnic is always a good time. Attendees, please remember to bring:
Jackie RUPP fell and broke her arm. We wish her the best and a speedy recovery.
Morgan SMITH is still ailing. Give him a thought and a prayer.
The next meeting shall be held on Thursday, October 6, 2016 at the Cabin Green Golf Club. 6 to eat/7 to meet.
Hope to see ya there!
